My daughter is only 4 and I have the setting on the game set at Pre-K so perhaps the reviewers that couldn't figure the game out had a higher setting. My daughter loves the game and has completed it more than once. It was very easy for her to finish so I am going to be raising her level and downloading some of the add on's to see if that will add more of a challenge.

My 4 yr old daughter loves loves loves this game. I didn't buy it because of all the negative reviews on here but she received it as a gift recently. She has absolutley no problems with it, it's not hard to play. She has completed multiple time. I don't know why others are having issues with this. I'm so glad her grandma got it for her.

This was the first cartridge game we bought as my 4yr old daughter LOVES anything princess. She was extremely excited to play this game as her favorite Leapster 2 game was the Ariel & Cinderella math-based game. To my disappointment, these two games are nothing alike. HOWEVER, my little one does enjoy playing this game.

This Explorer game is not about math at all and states that clearly. And the premise of the game is very different. You go in the same order as the story. (Hence "Storybook" in the title. ) So first you help Belle do a few things like sorting books (phonics), then her father thru a maze, then play a few musical notes with Lumiere, then on to a few other things. Ditto with Cinderella. I see a lot of logic problems. But the actual phonics practice, letter matching, or letter writing is very limited. So far I am not excited about this game but neither am I completely disappointed.
